Be Part of the Co-Op Designing Systems for Learning & Play
Build slow. Grow deep. Own what you create.
Turn your passion into a purpose-driven, sustainable career.
Why Join Mod Hob?
We don’t want to go fast and break things. We’re here to slow down, learn, and build things that last.
Things rooted in care. Things worth leaving behind.
We believe in radical hope, the kind that grows gardens, not empires.
The kind that rewrites burnout into belonging.
We think of work not as a hustle, but as a craft, and community not as an audience, but as kin.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking for change, Mod Hob offers you a place to:
- Make meaningful, share-owned work with lasting impact
- Learn at your own pace within a supportive pod system
- Participate in projects that align with your values
- Co-create a regenerative present & future
We work differently, on purpose.
Mod Hob is a holacracy. We self-organize into small working groups, and measure contribution based on effort not just time. We share revenue, own our work, and make decisions together.
What You’re Joining
We don’t offer fixed salaries or clock-punching contracts. We offer co-ownership in a platform for dignified, creative, and adaptive cooperation.
We live by values that shape what we make and how we make them:
Systems Thinking
To see the forest and the trees
Interdependence
To move at the speed of trust
Responsibility
To work with care for the earth and each other
Authenticity
To stay real, not perform
Lifelong Learning
To grow together, not compete
Our Foundation
We follow transparent, participatory processes to allocate effort, revenue, and responsibilities.
Legal Structure
A producer cooperative, to be registered in Québec
Cultural Structure
A learning organization inspired by Peter Senge’s The Fifth Discipline
Ecological Structure
Regenerative cycles: rest, growth, reflection, and return
Contribution & Compensation Model
Mod Hob’s compensation model is built around Effort Points (EPs). We’ve developed a transparent, community-evaluated system where your contributions translate into:
Equitable Revenue Share
You earn a proportional amount of project revenue based on your contributed effort.
Residual Income
You continue to receive returns while the projects you helped build keep generating revenue.
Full Membership Rights
You have the right to vote, be elected to the Board, and gain eligible returns.
Recognition & Value
Your cognitive, creative, emotional, and strategic efforts are valued and recognized.
Open Membership Roles
We occasionally post open membership opportunities based on the co-operative’s needs. These positions offer flexible participation in a regenerative cooperative economy.
If you’re curious about the compensation model or what it means to join as a founding member, book a 30-min consultation call. We’d love to connect and answer any questions.
